General Labor 2nd Shift 2pm-11pm/Helper
50” Helper assists the 50” team with the setup and running the 50” Feeder. 50” Helper prepares container board for the press run to ensure optimal production efficiencies are met in alignment with our internal and external customer’s expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verify load ticket is accurate. Perform visual inspection and dimensional measurement of board. Identify non-conforming board and potential run ability issues (i.e. warp, delamination, damage, wrong size, loose liners, paper slice, etc.)
Communicate board quality issues with 50” Operator and/or Material Handler if applicable.
Manually adjust Feeder guides per corrugator board dimensions.
Prepare board by removing straps off of bundles and observe feeder unit is properly feeding board into machine throughout production run.
Troubleshoot machine feeding issues and provide corrective action.
Assist with unjamming machine.
Perform basic preventative maintenance duties.
Perform daily housekeeping duties.
Comply and follow all health/safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School Diploma or equivalency, or; at least 90 days of related experience.
Production and Processing – Knowledge of corrugated board types, converting production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Troubleshooting – Determining causes of non-conforming board and machine operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
