General Labor 2nd Shift 2pm-11pm/Helper


50” Helper assists the 50” team with the setup and running the 50” Feeder. 50” Helper prepares container board for the press run to ensure optimal production efficiencies are met in alignment with our internal and external customer’s expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Verify load ticket is accurate. Perform visual inspection and dimensional measurement of board. Identify non-conforming board and potential run ability issues (i.e. warp, delamination, damage, wrong size, loose liners, paper slice, etc.)

Communicate board quality issues with 50” Operator and/or Material Handler if applicable.

Manually adjust Feeder guides per corrugator board dimensions.

Prepare board by removing straps off of bundles and observe feeder unit is properly feeding board into machine throughout production run.

Troubleshoot machine feeding issues and provide corrective action.

Assist with unjamming machine.

Perform basic preventative maintenance duties.

Perform daily housekeeping duties.

Comply and follow all health/safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


High School Diploma or equivalency, or; at least 90 days of related experience.


Production and ProcessingKnowledge of corrugated board types, converting production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Mathematics – Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of board, weight measurement, dimensions, volume and distance. 

Monitoring – Inspecting/Monitoring board and machine performance and ability to make improvements or take corrective action when needed.

Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents in English language.

Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience in English language.

Instructing – Teaching others how to do something.

Installation – Adjusting Feeder guides to meet specifications.

Operation and Control – Controlling operations of Feeder.

Operation Monitoring – Watching board feeding process to make sure a machine is working properly.

Quality Control Analysis – Conducting tests and inspections of corrugated board to evaluate quality and performance.

Troubleshooting – Determining causes of non-conforming board and machine operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
