General Labor 2nd Shift 2pm-11pm/Bander Operator


Bander Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the conveyor off-loading finished product from converting machines, product is palletized and banded to ensure production efficiencies and finish product packaging are met in alignment with our internal customer’s expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Activates Enterprise System and banding screen display.

Using Factory Work Order determines the number of bands, dunnage and stacking pattern required to palletize finished product.

Locates and removes load tags from finished product from conveyor. Verify that unit counts and other load tag information is accurate. Scan load tags using a scanner.

Observe units on conveyor are stacked neatly or restack manually. Place dunnage and load tags onto finished product bundles.

Using the operating controls starts and stops the Bander and conveyor equipment optimizing production efficiencies. Continually monitor and observe Bander unit is properly banding units and conveyors are moving units at optimal speed.

Replenish strapping as needed on Bander machine. Notify Shipping when strapping inventory needs to be replenished.

Complete Factory Work Order with date and number of Units (full and partial) processed.

Troubleshoot Bander equipment strapping issues and provide corrective action.

Unjamming Bander equipment as needed.

Perform basic preventative maintenance duties.

Provide on the job training to new workers. 

Perform daily housekeeping duties.

Comply and follow all health/safety rules and regulations.
